PQASSO Pick n Mix - Managing People and Learning and development

What is it?

This is number 5 of 6 “Pick n Mix PQASSO” workshops unique to Funding Ideas

Overall aim

To ensure that participants have the knowledge, practical skills and useful tools to help them implement PQASSO through self-assessment within their organisations for the two following quality areas:

• Managing People and
• Learning and development

Specific aims

By the end of each one day workshop participants will have:

• developed their understanding of PQASSO and the self-assessment process in relation to 2 specified topics (Quality Areas)
• reviewed their organisation’s current performance against the current standard
• identified areas of good practice and evidence in place to support their judgement
• identified areas where improvements could be made
• created a prioritised action plan to implement on return to their organisation.

This is a practical hands-on workshop to support you as you work through the specified quality areas.

We recommend that you attend these Pick N Mix PQASSO workshops after attending either the 1 day “Introduction to PQASSO” course or the 2 day “Implementing PQASSO” Course.

Who is this suitable for?

You will benefit most from the workshops if you:

• have a responsibility for or an interest in the topics being covered
• want to implement that particular PQASSO Quality Area through self-assessment in your organisation
• are taking a lead for PQASSO in the implementation process
• are a stakeholder, volunteer or service user who wants to work with their organisation to bring about improvements in these quality areas.

When is this available?

This series of workshops was inspired by PQASSO which is a Charities Evaluation Service (CES) product. It is delivered by Funding Ideas Ltd in partnership with a number of voluntary sector partners around the UK. Each partner organisation has their own schedule of courses usually a rolling programme where courses are offered every 3 months.

The Course Tutor is a licensed PQASSO Mentor and Quality Mark Peer Reviewer for CES with over 20 years experience in the voluntary sector.

How much does this cost?

The cost of the course varies slightly depending on the voluntary sector partner we are working with to host the training course.

This one day workshop, which covers two quality areas, typically costs around £80 per delegate.

We endeavour to keep costs to a very reasonable level and hence ensure that all types of voluntary organisation including smaller charities are able to access our training courses.
